The textures represent the sand and rock formations found in the ocean.
The shades and tones of the colours emphasise the varying depths and dynamic movement of the water.
As the water crashes over the rocks, ocean foam develops and follows the movement of the water.
The centre of the artwork has a calmer feel: The water is deeper and the movement is slower. As the tides reach the edges, and meet the rock's in a shallower area, the movement increases and the result is a wonderful array of blues and whites.
A very free flowing and dynamic piece of artwork.
There is a video on my youtube channel, (Teibi Art), showcasing how this artwork was made.
